About Us
Still Serving Veterans (SSV) was founded in 2006 and has since helped over 5,000 Veterans in the Huntsville/Madison community and beyond. They have been awarded the Spirit of Hope Award, presented the Independent Charities of America Best in America Seal, and was named a Nationally Approved Charity by the Combined Federal Campaign.
SSV works to empower Veterans and their families to optimally transition into post-military lives through workforce development, assistance obtaining VA benefits & services, as well as quality referrals to existing local, state, & federal services. Of every dollar donated 86 cents goes directly to their programs and services.
The non-profit also conducts case management for Veterans in crisis. As a part of Community Blueprint, a program that connects organizations from all over the nation, SSV coordinates services for Veterans & their families no matter their location or need.
SSV also conducts community outreach to spread the word of their mission & to educate the community on the critical needs Veterans are facing. Thanks to the extensive partnerships with local & national businesses, SSV has been able to fund Veteran education programs, obtain priceless volunteers, & provide professional, knowledgeable counselors that help direct & empower the Veteran. These partnerships have also allowed SSV to shatter their previous record of Veterans hired!
Our Veterans have done amazing things in treacherous places on our behalf - let us not forget; for now is, more than ever, the time to reach out and serve those who have served us.
